2. Data collected when you visit this site

Server logs

When you visit this website, your browser automatically sends technical data to my hosting provider: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status code, bytes transferred, referrer, browser and operating system. This data is technically necessary for operating the site securely and is deleted after a maximum of 30 days.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website).

Theme preference

If you switch the color scheme (light/dark), your preference is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted. You can delete it at any time through your browser settings.

3. Cookies and tracking

This website does not use cookies, analytics tools, or tracking software of any kind. No user profiles are created and no data is processed for advertising purposes.

4. Third-party services

Fonts and all static assets on this website are served from my own server. No analytics or advertising services from third-party providers are integrated.

Headlessforms (form processing)

When you submit the beta sign-up form on this website, your email address is transmitted to and stored by Headlessforms, a service provided by Loadbee GmbH.

  • Data collected: email address, submission timestamp, language setting
  • Purpose: sending beta update notifications from syncTerms
  • Storage location: EU servers
  • Retention: until you unsubscribe or request deletion

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent given by submitting the form).

5. The syncTerms application

The syncTerms application at app.syncterms.com is a separate service with its own privacy policy. Any data you enter or that is processed there is governed exclusively by that policy.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
